Neon tetras

The Neon Tetra is often described as the jewel of the aquarium hobby. It is easy to see why it is one of the most popular freshwater tropical fish. With their iridescent blue bodies and bright red tails, Paracheirodon innesi creates an exciting splash of color in any aquarium, especially when kept in schools of six or more. Neons prefer to be kept in an aquarium with plenty of plants and driftwood to afford them protection when they feel threatened. It is best to keep neons in water that is slightly acidic and has stable Ph and temperature, Water Conditions: 68-74° F, pH 5.0-7.0, KH 4-8. Neons are not picky eaters as they will accept a variety of flake, frozen and live meaty foods. Extremely peaceful, the Neon Tetra should be kept with similarly non-aggressive tankmates of a similar size. Below is a picture of neons in my old 29g aquarium.
